The population of New Zealand currently stands at approx 4 million with about 2.7 million residing in the North Island and 921,000 in the South Island. Greater Auckland (New Zealands) biggest commercial city) has approx 1 million of the population of New Zealand. In terms of it’s people you will find that New Zealand is a bicultural society made up of Maori and Europeans nationalities. The vast majority live in the South of the North Island. Asians make up about 3% of the total population and is one of the fastest growing miniority groups still.
