Passports and Visas

It is important that all visitors to New Zealand are in procession of a passport which is valid for three months beyond the date of intended departure. If you are an Australian Citizen or hold an Australian returning residents visa then you do not require a visitors visa to enter New Zealand and you can also live in New Zealand indefinitely if you wish

For those of you holding a UK passport you do not need a visa either and you will automatically be issued with a visitors visa upon arrival into New Zealand and this is usually stamped for 6 months.

Visitors arriving from other counties would need to sort out a visitors visa before they arrive which would entitle them to a visitor permit for a single or multiple entry on arrival. For more information about visa information you can visit the New Zealand Immigration Service (NZIS) Website.
