Auckland’s First Flower Show has something for everyone this year from casual gardeners to experts, with special activities for kids, a recycle bin competition, designer show gardens and two indoor air-conditioned halls featuring beautiful floral art displays. Highlights of The Auckland Flower Show 2008 include a huge floral display jointly produced by New Zealand floral designer lain Stevens and Australian florist Mark Pampling, return of the fabulous landscape designer Alex Schanzer, a new collection of sweet peas from New Zealand plant breader Dr Keith Hammett and 31 gardens including new exhibition categories.
