So you have arrived in Christchurch the largest city on New Zealand’s South Island and want to know what there is to do and see, where the best restaurants are and the best places to shop. Well, to make things easier for you Christchurch has its very own Cycle Tour; New Zealand’s only guided city bike tour that lasts for two hours. The tour will take you to all the hot spots of one of the worlds great garden cities departing from Cathedral Square in the town centre everyday at 2pm.

Some of the great attractions you will be shown include the Arts Centre, Riccarton Bush, Deans Cottage and Antigua Boatsheds. As soon as you make your way out of the city you begin to understand why it’s called the garden city as you cycle through Hagley Park. The tour is a great way to learn about the historics of the city and you can ask what ever questions you like along the way.

Next you’ll head towards Christchurch most famous Garden, Mona Vale, the most beautiful garden in Christchurch. You will stop at Mona Vale homestead restaurant where you can enjoy relax by the lake or treat yourself to a generous afternoon tea.
