Popular New Zealand’s skiing areas are Mt Ruapehu – New Zealand’s largest skiing area, Queenstown which is famous for its two ski resorts, the Coronet Peak and the Remarkables and Wanaka regions – New Zealand’s favourite destination for Skiing and snowboarding in the Southern Hemisphere. The main tourist ski resort towns are Queenstown and Wanaka. The New Zealand ski season starts in early July and ends in October.
The main New Zealand heliski regions are Queenstown, Wanaka, Mount Cook – New Zealand’s highest Mountain and Methven.
